Group getaway in Cumbria

I am looking for a great place for a two night group getaway in Cumbria - somewhere quiet and sophisticated, not a tourist hotspot - any ideas? Oh and we want to go self catering.

definately consider the Calder House Hotel in Seascale, it is amazing and right on the beach with stunning views across to the isle of man
