Buying cigarettes in bulk...

Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can buy cigarettes in bulk, at a discount price? I am in the UK.

I've seen websites advertising cheap prices when buying online, but wonder about their legality/authenticity. Anyone ever bought cigarettes online?

some are iffy others you have to pay duty on as an import.

Very little difference between the bulk price and the price in a supermarket. 10p to 20p a packet at most. Not worth buying 1,000 at a time for.
If you want to try it just get a cash and carry card and buy from the wholesaler , but as I said very little difference in price.

Not worth the hassle. You HAVE to pay UK vat and duty on top of the online price.

You have to declare them and pay duty and vat, so they end up costing more than in the shops.

Thanks very much for all replies. So there's no significant discount to be had by buying in bulk from a cash and carry. I'm guessing that's because most of it is tax. :0(
