Keukenhoff Gardens

Looking to get away possibly with the boss to Keukenhof gardens in Holland in April. Was possibly looking at a 3 night break...going friday, coming back the following tuesday.

I am at a total loss with everything here....best area to stay, best way to get there, best way to get around etc etc.

I was looking at a 4 or even 5 star hotel. I'd probably do one or two days at the garden, one or two days sightseeing.

Not too worried about price but would probably like breakfast in the pack and be able to eat out in the eve.

Any suggestions ? anyone been there and done it ?

do you actually want to spend all that time there? It's big but it's not three-day big. One day would do it unless you're really into flowers. Which means you could stay in Asterdam and take the train; it's not far.

The theme this year is the UK.

I've done it but it was about 20 years ago so hotels, etc, will have changed

I'd take the car on the ferry - route depending on where I lived - and book hotels online
