Well below is a link to an arial shot of the most secretive motorway in England.

It is the M96, but it is not open to the public.

It is a short section of "pretend" motorway at the Fire Service College near Moreton in Marsh where firemen go to learn how to deal with different sorts of fires.

Hope the link below works

Here is more about it.

Interesting VHG, I never knew we had such a place!

I can think of quite a few pubs that qualify!

I've only just found out how to get our road and thought I was really clever. Obviously not.
Ratter that is a pet hobby of mine, I have a thing about coastlines round the world, I look at and zoom in on lots of small islands (there are even loads in the Med we don't realise). I've done the coast of Africa - there appear to be some great beaches but also some very bizarre looking coastal settlements. Fascinating stuff.
Like Attu island? If you look carefully there's an airstrip on the eastern coast. Put the little yellow man on one of the blue squares and you'll see a sign saying that this is the most Westerly point of the USA. Zoom out and you'll see how close to Russia it is!
Very interesting about Moreton-in-the-Marsh btw. My in-laws live near there, and whilst I knew about the fire brigade training place, I wasn't aware of the motorway!
