Where would you go to buy a light weight, cheapish, middle size suitcase?
Off out shopping tomorrow, but would like some ideas what stores to visit.

I recently freecycled some 30 year old Samsonite cases that were surplus to my requirements. They flew between the US, Europe or the Gulf around 4 to 6 times a year every year for 20 years and then had less hard use after that and were still in excellent if battered condition with all locks clasps wheels and hinges in full working order.
I got a sub-zero from Debenhams, which are about the lightest there is

I'd echo jno's recommendation for Sub Zero G - they are very good - very light and seem to take the bashing around very well too.

If you're buying a wheeled suitcase, please take a hint from someone who used to work at a railway station, and who has assisted thousands of people with their luggage:
Make sure that the wheels are as far apart as possible!
(Suitcases with the wheels close together are difficult to handle, as they keep twisting from side to side)
