We have broadband etc at home and plenty of internet connection.
We are off to Aussie for one month, and staying in a house with no internet at all --no p.c's. So will take laptop hoping to find internet cafe or whatever, unless we spend time with another relative while there.
Dont know a thing about dongles and how they work.
Can i get one just for one month?
Just a simple plug in thingy?
Got a cheap pay as you go mobile, so thats no good.
I have an O2 dongle. It is PAYG and you can top it up for 24hrs, 7 days or 28 days. It depends how much data you need as to the cost. But for 28 days for me is £15.58 and that gives me enough to surf the net send emails etc. you don not need to top this up each month which is cost effective for me.
I would imagine you could buy a similar product when you are at our destination.
All you do is plug them in do a small download and as long as you are near urban life you should be ale to log on. The only time I used all my data was when I downloaded all my sons wedding photo's
We will be staying in a big city, going out almost every day.
Will buy a dongle soon after we arrive then. Will only be on p.c in mornings for a short while, and evenings if i can keep my eyes open. lol
Thanks for each and every reply x
Oh, one other thing, they are rather particular about who accesses the internet in Australia. You will need to show photo-id (eg passport) when you buy it.
Really gen2? That has amazed me.
Will ask Nieces to help me out while there. Sure they can give me some good advice. Also advice about my mobile usage.
