Hoping someone can help me out on this one, have searched online but to no avail.
I've been asking my ex for my son's passport number(required info for travel). After a day or two's delay(don't ask!) she has texted it to me, however it appears to have an extra digit.
Do UK child passport's have 9 digits, or has my ex made an honest/accidentally on purpose' mistake?
Thanks in advance for any help/info/confirmation.
In order that I don't have to suffer some form of retribution from the ex for being so bold as to politely ask her to double check, a call to the Home Office Passport Service has indeed confirmed it ought to be 9 digits.
It's only taken 3 texts and 4 days thus far for the info, wonder how long it'll take for the amended details? LOL
Sounds to me like you should get the actual passport from her.... I assume you are taking your son on holiday? The airlines usually want the number and the dates of expiry and issue when you are booking.
That's the stage I'm at now, filling in the pre-flight information. She's probably doing it on purpose, she hates the thought of him coming away with me and having a good time, all the more so because he's so looking forward to it.
C'est la vie.
Thanks again for your help, very much appreciated.
Perhaps you should make a photo copy of the personal information on the passport when or if you do get it. Or even ask you ex to fax you a copy of the personal info page.
