Holiday Spending Money

Im going on holiday to Crete next week all inclusive.

My boyfriend is taking �200 spending money how much do you think i should take. We are both smokers so want to bring some cigarettes back.

All inclusive means that you won't need much in the way of spending money but you probably will get bored with the food and want a couple of meals out allow about �50 for this between you. Cigarettes are about �13 per 200 for the main brands. Phone calls home if you want to make them will be about �5 if you use a phone card.

Souvenirs are cheap if you just want kitch. They have trips out but you can use a card for those if you want them. They have lots of fake designer clothes and bags up to you if you want them. T shirts about �3 each, bags about �5.

Do not buy the perfume from anywhere other than proper duty free shops. It is ALL fake!

so about �100 for me and the �200 he wants to take should do it?

I would say that should be enough! Make sure you have a back up Cirrus Card with you in case you need to draw some money for emergencies.

Depending on how long you planning to stay. I would suggest 300-350 GBP in total if you don't travel with a group . 50-60 GBP for a dinner for two. 15 GBP for clubbing access including the first drink, add 8 GBP for every next drink.

Be careful
*not to need of buying bottle of water from street shops and cafes,its too expensive.... get it from super-markets and
have it with you.
* not to move around by taxis without knowing the local charge rate. Get to the taxi with Greek tourists so that drivers won't exploit you.

Around 10-15 GBP for sun bathing expenses, deck-chair, umbrella, a sandwich, ice-cream etc.
10 for drinking coffee etc. in cafes
