Put in a dummy number for now.
Take off the "0" - in the US it will be replaced by 01144 anyway.
(at the beginning of your number)

thanks everybody x
I wouldn`t even bother booking. There are lots of city links that can take you from JFK to Manhattan. If I was you, I would just turn up and find one (from a desk in the arrivals hall).
Agree with AP As it happens had to book a flight to Canada today and had the same problem. It wouldn't accept a mobile number until I dropped the zero (a bit like ringing home from abroad when we put +44 and drop the 0 on a mobile)
I find putting all zeroes sometimes works. Not always though
Yep. If you land at T3 just go to the big Taxi box and get a cab. $65 inc tip to Manhatten.
Zac, they rip you off. Cost of a taxi to Manhattan is around $55.00. Did you give a $10.00 tip?
Yep. Last of the big spenders, me.
The going rate for a taxi to Manhattan is $45. It`s a flat rate. If you pay more, you have been ripped off ( the taxi drivers don`t try to rip you off though, as they work by meter)
It's gone up. Unless your referring to laguardia. For trips between (to and from) Manhattan and JFK International Airport, the flat fare is $52.00 plus any tolls using Rate Code 2 on the meter. A NY State Tax Surcharge of $.50 will be added to each trip.

No it`s not. I was there last week and it`s $45 flat rate. Google and the real world can be two different things ..
You are right SJ. It's the limousines charges $55.00.
There's a difference between google and the official Ny taxi website. I was there 3 weeks ago and can assure you it's correct. Are you talking about La Guardia (he asked, again)
No, JFK. Is there any other airport? Who goes to La Guardia? :-)

Well, it's actually closer to Manhatten than JFK and I believe is served by Virgin, BA £ US airways, amongst others, so quite a lot of people.
I think you are getting confused between La Guardia and Newark Zacs. Newark (New Jersey) is a very good way to get to New York on the cheap.
You are right again, SJ
No, no confusion.
