Hello,

If you are a member of the E.U (I am from Ireland) does it entitle me to work in Norway without a visa or will I need to apply for one?

Norway is not in the EU, but it is in the EEA.

You do not need a visa. To stay in Norway longer than three months, you need a residence permit. More information is available here (Norway's official site in the UK):
http://www.norway.org.uk/Embassy/visas/work/eea/

Norway also has an official site in Ireland:

Trust you will have a whale of a time.....
