Anyone Been On One Of Those Viking River Cruises?

Anyone been on one of those Viking river cruises that sponsor some of the dramas on ITV? They look very expensive and I might say a little boring but having never been on one I don't really know.

I am not a normal cruise person, but these Viking ones look lovely, I would love the St Petersburg one.

dave......no never been on one.......done 20-30 cruises, but never a river cruise.

I would say to start with, that is your first cruise, they would be quite good. Boredom would depend upon what sort of guy you are....mixing with people, chatting and of course i presume that you would travel at night and dock during the day so that you could "sight see."
Food would be good and cabins comfortable.

Not my scene (I don't think) but for you, for a starter, it may well be ideal.

Sqad these river cruises sail up the rivers in daytime and I suppose you pop into the towns to see the important things.

Did cruise the Nile. Had a fantastic holiday.
