That's the country, not the meat.
Had a good, relaxing time. We thought we had gone the right week but it was still 30+ degrees most days.
The Turkish people are so friendly. In the main anyway. The bloke in customs got quite shirty when our plane arrived as hardly anyone knew we had to pay £10 per person for a visa to enter the country AND they insisted on English money. Better rate of exchange.
Anyway, it was worth the break so - noses to the grindstone now.
your travel agent should have told you about the £10 and it will have been in the info at the back of the brochure and when we went the flightstaff on the plane reminded everyone and handed out the cards to fill in.
We did it all on the phone, DJ. We do it through a lady who gets us good deals each time but when I told her about it today, (she telephoned to see how we got on), she did apologise as she thought she had warned us.
Hi Ann. Sorry I didn't reply before. Still recovering from a night flight and dropped off. Going to bed now I've woken up!!!
Good to hear from you.
Good night all.
Your so lucky parkie, we love Turkey and havent been for a couple of yrs now.
Would love to go again though! We've got some lovely memories stashed away x
We went to a place near Bodrum, pusskin. It was called Orterkent, (I think that's how you spell it), but the beach was very much like volcanic type material and the resort was rather isolated.
We heard from other people at the airport there are better beaches in Turkey so next time we go we will look further afield.
I can really vouch for Marmaris. Absolutely loved it, especially the day when we got a minus bus from the apartment Manager and all went to a day out at a beach and saw octopus swimming in the sea, plus a picnic on an (boat trip) Island with a group of people. Ah, fond memories!
