Intradermal Rabies Vaccination
0 Answers
My local travel clinic offers intradermal rabies vaccination as opposed to the traditional intramuscular variation. Because of this you don't need as much and it is a lot cheaper. However, as the dosages are shared between patients they are only available on certain days. I have had the first 2 intradermally and it looks like I'd have to have the 3rd one intramuscular as there are no more "rabies clinics" available before I travel.
Not many clinics around the country offer this course, but as my clinic is at a university there is enough people who go travelling to make it worth it. As the price difference between intradermal and intramuscular will probably cover travel costs to places around the country I wondered if anyone knows of any other clinic that offers this course?
