We have friends over from New Zealand, they are English but haven't been over here for around five years, they are stauing with us for a month, has anyone any suggestions for some interesting places to visit. Thanks.

Sorry silly me we live in Stockport area.

Stockport area: Lyme Park, Staircase House in Stockport and the market, maybe the Tunnels, one of the peak district caverns, Trafford Centre if they like shopping, Little Moreton hall if they like small Tudor gorgeous buildings. Ellesmere Port or Albert Dock for a big maritime experience, a walk along the canal at Whaley Bridge and a pub lunch or fish n chips otherwise.
