Where To Buy Household Things Near Hotel Ibis, Rue Merieux, Lyon 69007

Have going on hols to France, and the holiday starts at the Ibis hotel in Lyon 69007. I need to buy electric kettle, duvet, pillows etc for a camping holiday when I leave from there. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase (cheaply) these nearby, don't want to have to carry things too far. As they are only for short term, price is more important than quality. Also does anyone know of the nearest laundrette to there? Please and thanks for your help.

What do you mean by etc.....what else do you need exactly? Do you have a tent? I guess you're staying in a semi permanent structure if it has electricity. So maybe you need a general store - bedding, towels, cooking utensils, rather than a camping store - water carrier, portable gas bottles, sleeping bags and plastic crockery. Am I right?

No depending on public transport, nearest train station is short distance away, I'm told

Unfortunately, Aldi and Lidl are unlikely to be of any use, since the items you require are not "everyday" stock - but only appear in stock as "specials" once every two or three months.

Carrefour, LeClerc, SuperU and Casino are all names of hyper/supermarkets that are found in all large French towns. They all carry a comprehensive range of household goods but tend to be pricier than Aldi/Lidl.
Stay away from specialist stores if you can as stuff in France is very expensive these days with the exorbitant rate of VAT (TVA).

Launderettes were never as popular in France as they were, at one time, in the UK. So finding one there is even harder than it is nowadays here. The nearest I can find is this one, which is 4km from your hotel. (Bus number 22 gets you most of the way):
