Can Anyone Recommend A Top Class Hotel Near Loch Lomond?

Its our 22nd wedding anniversary at the end of the month and we fancy returning to Loch Lomond where we had our honeymoon. Can anyone recommend a top class hotel in the area? Thanks

thanks for your speedy reply mushroom. I've looked at this one on tripadvisor and it has some good reviews but I tend to read the bad reviews and believe those over the good ones :-). By top-class I mean luxury with at least a swimming pool or better a spa and fine dining restaurant.

the problem with loch lomond, in terms of the hotel type you're looking for, is its proximity to Glasgow.

Sorry I cut myself off KristalB. The Buchanan Arms Hotel has always been excellent any time I have stayed there. It has a swimming pool and the food is
very good.
In the same village ,Drymen,as the Winnock,which was recommended by mushroom. A bit more expensive but well worth the extra cost.

hi sirOracle. The Buchanan was our first choice but I looked it up on Tripadvisor and there were quite a few negative comments about the cleanliness of the rooms and the noise issues. Its difficult sometimes to decypher real contributions from those just written out of spite, but when 10 or 11 guests complain about the same issues over a period of a few months it makes you wonder.

I am guessing that your anniversary is already finished but hope this helps people that would want to visit the place too. There's lots of good hotels near Loch Lomond actually, try Ardgartan Hotel, The Crown Hotel, Loch Archray Hotel, and Ardeonaig Hotel. You can look for reviews online if you want.
