How long will it take to get from St. Pancras to Wembley Stadium on the tube?

We are trying to work out which train to get from Bedford to get us to Wembley Stadium by half past seven on Saturday evening.

gah, I'm getting my knickers in a twist again here, sorry. There are three stations. Wembley Stadium is much the nearest but you get there from Marylebone mainline station which isn't that useful to you as it's some way from St Pancras. Wembley Park and Wembley Central are about the same distance as each other but in different directions. I'd still recommend...

about 45 minutes... Metropolitan line to Finchley Rd then cross the platform to the Jubilee line to Wembley Park
oh no, ignore that, I was forgetting the Metropolitan Line will take you all the way there. Trip is 20-25 minutes by rail and maybe a few minutes walking at each end.
Journey time on the tube is about 25 mins, allow a couple more for waiting for a train. You get the Metropolitan Line direct from King's Cross to Wembley Park and it takes about 10 - 15 mins to get out of the station and walk to the ground.

jno, Frank's map link says 21 minutes.

Thank you for your quick response. All of you have been very helpful.
you need to allow a few spare minutes; trains sometimes sit waiting at Baker St for a green light, in particular. And depending where you're coming from St Pancras may take 5 minutes to traverse. So I'd set aside 30 minutes or so.
you can try this for planning your whole journey

That's a useful site, jno, thank you. I haven't seen that before.
an alternative way of getting there is to walk the 5mn along the euston road to euston station, then get an "overground" train to wembley central, and follow the crowd.
Question Author
That's another alternative, mushroom. Mr. Tilly keeps saying 'We need to get to Wembley Central' I think we might try that.

Any idea how long the overground train will take?
Morning till,x, wotcha going to watch.

Morning, sweety. We're going to see Roger Waters, 'The Wall' concert. Yeah!
Tidy ;)
Question Author
Very!
Wembley Stadium station is a lot closer than Wembley Central, which is in the middle of the town and is a good half mile further away from the stadium itself.
Question Author
I had no idea about that, jno. So you would still recommend going to Wembley Park rather than Wembley Central?

Wembley Park and Wembley Central are about the same distance as each other but in different directions.

I'd still recommend taking the Metropolitan line straight from Kings Cross St P. It's an expressish train so only five stops, 20 minutes or so on the train.

Euston mainline station to Wembley Central is only about 10 minutes by rail but Euston is a good 5-10 minute walk from St P in the London weather, so no real gain, and I think (could be wrong) the service is only half-hourly.

Thank you, once again.
godalmighty, I can't believe I'm making so many mistakes. The 10-minute journey time is Marylebone-Wembley Stadium. But Marylebone is more than a mile from St P.

From Euston to Wembley Central is 45 minutes by rail. Euston is 5-10 minutes' walk from St P.

St P to Wembley Park on the Metropolitan line is about 20 minutes and the change of train will all be inside St P (but may take a few minutes as its tracks can be some distance from one another).

So, remarkably, I still think my second answer at 19.22 was right... Time for a drink, I think.
