We didn't go to Times Square as to get a place in the Square to see the ball meant arriving at 11am. There were no facilities like toilets or food, so it put us right off. Instead, we had a fun day in the city, went back to our hotel and had a drink in Sir Harry's Bar, walked 5 or 6 minutes to a cosy bar on 2nd Avenue, had a lovely meal and a few more drinks, before returning to the Waldorf=Astoria to see in the new year on the piano terrace. Magical.
This year we are going to Tallinn, Estonia which is supposed to be pretty amazing. Lots of snow, hot ciders, and hot chicks!!
stevie_c2it - I've just got shivers! We are also staying at the Three Sisters - we booked it last week. We're staying for four nights from the 28th December. How bizarre.
What was it like? It looks beautiful, and we've booked a room in one of the three buildings rather than across the courtyard. I think it's nr. 17.
