hi,has anybody been to Shanghai?

will shortly be going there for a few days stopover on way to Sydney.What did you think of city,any do's or donts you can tell me about,is it safe at night or on public transport etc.and the best sights

Shanghai is great! Visit the Jade Buddha, take a night cruise down the river, walk along the bund at night, visit one of the water towns just outside the city for a taste of traditional Chinese life, stroll around the old town, shop in the huge market, meander through the French colonial streets, get lost in the metropolis!

Most importantly eat as much street food as possible. Shanghai is famous for its dumplings �baozi�.
