Any ABers any comments on staying in a travelodge? They seem extremely good value for money.

They're clean and cheap. Don't expect the Hilton, or a resort!!!

Ideal for a stop-over whilst travelling, they're really handy for getting your head down without worrying where you're putting it down into. You'll get a clean, modern room, with a clean bed, clean bathroom, working tv and phone, for a fraction of a city centre hotel's price.

Sounds good to me! Thanks for reply.
I agree with Chapel.  Very good value.  There is no catering, so if the Travelodge is on a motorway service area, you might want to eat before your arrival.  The room costs the same for two as for one.
We stopped in a travelodge. Two adults plus two children all for the one price - excellent.    There was a restaurant next door, a Little Chef I think.   Very clean and comfortable.
you'll seldom find the 26 rooms (or whatever it is) they offer, but yes, they're cheap and comfy and reliable, at least in my experience. They are often attached to Little Chefs, which are disgusting.
Travelodge and Premier lodge's are all very good value for money. As said above no food but usually 24 reception desk and always very clean. And the rooms are always identical and clean so you always know what you're getting.
We frequently stay in them & yes, they're cheap, modern & (usually) clean.  We reckon they're pretty good value, especially if you're lucky enough to grab some of their bargains.

If it helps though, see if there's a Holiday Inn Express instead.  With HI Express you also get breakfast (eat & drink as much as you like buffet style), shower gel & handwash (Travelodge just give you a microscopic bar of cheap soap) & better TV channels usually for the same rate or even less.
