You can withdraw money from Nationwide, LINK or CIRRUS cash machines with no fees from Nationwide.
I have used mine all over the world and never been chaged by Nationwide. You also get the best exchange rate. What you do pay is any withdrawl fee that the machine operator imposes, usually no more than a pound or two.
Unless anyone can persuade me to the contrrary my advice for travel money is to take a small amount of local cash, for urgent use (coffee/taxi/phone/tolls etc) but to withdraw money for spending in reasonable quantities, (say 100 in local currency) with the Nationwide Flex Accolunt Card, as and when you need it, usually immediately upon arrival, and then whenever the wallet looks a little thin.
