19 Answers
Hello
It's our first wedding anniversary in a few weeks and I'm stumped on any gift let alone the tradition of paper.
I thought tickets but he isn't into music etc and I can't afford to splash out on a trip.
Any ideas? He is really into WW1 and WW2 memorabilia - but u can't think if anything paper based besides books which he won't read
Besides that he loves films and is a big geek in terms of Marvel etc but dies not collect comics
I'm a words he's difficult :)
Please help

He might appreciate a hardback copy of "Giles at War". Giles was a cartoonist.

Just do what we used to do a nice cosy dinner for two in his favourite restaurant. Gifts don't matter its the being together just the two of you that matters. Go to the restaurant personally a few days before and ensure you get the right table and maybe a order a small cake, let the management know its a special, occasion just for two.
seriously are you getting really so concerned about getting your OH a gift appropriate to your anniversary? he's a man -he won't have a clue its a 'paper' anniversary . Is he getting uptight about what to get you? I would be a bit miffed getting a paper gift anyway, a nice piece of jewelry to celebrate one year together would be a better idea. We've been married 23 yers but never bought gifts for each other, I don't need a 'reward' for sticking with him (actually I probably do come to think of it). Go for a romantic picnic weather permitting, or a romantic meal.
