So Tesco is losing money, I'm not surprised. A leg of lamb in New Malden this week was £27!!! Time for a serious price drop or I will be going to Lidl more often ...

Sorry < not surprised>
It's not losing money.
Since their shareholders are being badly affected I can only foresee price rises smurfchops!
£22.50 at Morrison's. Lamb is dear everywhere.
Smurf...why not go to Lidl anyway !
They have issued their second profits warning in 2 months, so a price rise may be the next move.
They have opened too many stores......end of story. In a 10 mile radius of my home in the Swansea Valley, there are 9 big Tesco stores and another 5 of their smaller ones. How many Tescos can you shop in at the same time !

We'll stick with Waitrose,
I guess shopping at Lidi etc is like buyinng your clothes at Primark or Mattalan, best avoided unless you have to do it.
I don't rate the meat in Aldi (never bought any from Lidl)
I have a fantastic butcher I buy most of my meat and poultry from. Beats any supermarket meat.
No, Baldric....completely wrong........ never been in Primark and only occasionally in Matalan.....

Aldi is my first choice for shopping...for a number of reasons but not because I have to.
We've not done a main shop in Tesco for ages only using them for odd bits like milk etc.We always get our meat from an old established family butcher, not the cheapest place but quality of the meat is excellent other stuff we usually get from Morrison's or Aldi

I guess you missed the T-I-C part of my post gness ;-)
Yep....☺
Tesco only have themselves to blame for taking their eye off the ball. New boss Dave Lewis has literally a lot on his plate to sort out the mess. In a competitive market, Tesco have allowed the grass to grow under their feet and are losing a phenomenal amount of customers.

Opening stores right, left and centre is all well and good if the footfall is there.

Much food for thought but the customers aren't 'buying it'....

TESCO are NOT losing money.
Pete, correct.

Profit targets are well down and number of customers.
Baldric 'We'll stick with Waitrose, I guess shopping at Lidi etc is like buyinng your clothes at Primark or Mattalan, best avoided unless you have to do it.'

Typical shopping snob
I don`t rate Waitrose. Waitrose are just very good at telling people they are fabulous and people are very good at believing it. Ten out of ten for their marketing department.
Too bally right Tesco is not losing money...they only made £2.4bn last year !
