Hi, currently in N. Cyprus with OTH and wondered if anyone had been on a tour of old Famugusta and is it possible to get on a tour there or is it a self look.

Have done this within the last 12 months, as DIY. As above says, the old city is very small and easily walked. We parked at the waterfront by the old fort, which is possible to go in for a small amount of money. The old city can be explored by foot, with a decent sized trading area, worth exploring. it's not that big; I'd get a guide book and take myself. But there are tours

The second post on this page is an enthusiastic recommendation for one tour, but it may be by the proprietor, you can't tell

sorry, just realised you're in the north already so the first link isn't any use to you

We parked at the waterfront by the old fort, which is possible to go in for a small amount of money. The old city can be explored by foot, with a decent sized trading area, worth exploring. The old streets are worth exploring to see how people live. Lots of mosques and redundant churches. Plenty of opportunity to get a feel of the place but not full of specific tourist venues.
No idea if tourist bus visits are available - we accessed it from the south.

Thanks for info, especially buildersmate, think we will do DIY, as youd did
You've probably twigged this, but the Trip Advisor attraction linked by JNO above is referring to the former beach resort to the north of the old city. This is off limits, and is occupied by the Turkish Army. There is one place on the beach where you can view the line of beach-front hotels standing rotting and rusty. 10 minutes (maximum) to ponder what happened in 1974.

The old city, where the original Venetian fort is, is what I am referring to. The Red Bus tour in the link above obviously also goes there.
