Learning Spanish - Audio Cd's?

Evening All,
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
My question is simply: Are the Rosetta Stone language CD's worth the money, and has anyone tried the Level 1 & 2 Spanish to good effect?

I only know the bare minimum of phrases and need to learn properly as I speak to a Spanish team on a weekly basis and feel extremely ignorant in my lack of knowledge of the language at present. I have my eye on an Audio CD but it seems to be a lot of money, so any advice or personal experience using the above would be appreciated in case you think it's not any good, or perhaps you think it's brilliant (?)
(I attended a night class in 'Holiday Spanish' a couple of years ago, but have forgotten it all)

Ah.. Thanks BoxTops, I've not heard of that one - the reviews seem good and it's a lot cheaper too - this might be the perfect answer to begin with - great link and Thanks once again :-)

I have the Rosetta Stone Spanish, it's very expensive (very overpriced in fact) but it was a present. I've gone all the way through and did quite well - but I still can't even begin to have a conversation when in Spain, the phrases it teaches you are just not everyday speak. I've also been to evening classes and again was very disappointed because yet again it's all about ordering a meal, shopping or asking for directions ie tourist stuff. I've wanted to learn Spanish in the same way I learnt French and German at school- some grammar so I can construct my own sentences. So far my quest has failed.

Thanks for the feedback Prudie, I'm the same, I need really to learn technical terms/ phrases eventually (related to work) but must try to get the basic pronunciations and some key phrases first.
I too was a bit disappointed with the night school classes, I learnt how to order alcohol and a pizza (none of which I'd use) Ah well, eh?
The CD is on a well known auction site at the minute, but is still more expensive than BoxTops suggestion so think I'll try the 'Earworm' one instead. I'll let you know how I get on if you like if you?
