Getting Into Manchester From The Airport
Is the bus or the train the best way from Manchester Terminal 3? The website seems un-necessarily complicated for such a simple request. Can anyone tell me what the bus fare is (number 105 I think?) and the train fare? All advice appreciated.

The single train fare is £4.90 'anytime', £4.20 off-peak. There doesn't seem to be an off-peak return. (Buy two singles). An 'anytime' return only saves you 10p on buying 2 anytime singles. (It's £9.70).

Bus services 43, 44 and 105 all run to the city centre. Stagecoach seem reticent about telling anyone their fares but you can buy a ticket giving you unlimited travel on Manchester's bus network for a day for £5.60 (or £5.20 at weekends and after 0930 weekdays).

It gives the bus fare as £2.90 (but note the 1 hour journey time).

Monday to Friday the trams run from the airport every 12mn (at weekends the line is closed for engineering works). Fare to the city centre is £4.20; you'll need to change trams at Cornbrook, but trams from there to all destinations are every few minutes.
