Raffle Tickes On Lottery Ticket

Has any one know of someone who has won the £20000 on a raffle number.
The old couple who live across the road did not even know about them till I pointed it out so now they get their ticket checked at their local shop. Also I won £250 on the Thunderball recently and they gave me the winning ticket back but scored through the bit to void the ticket so what would happen if you had a winning ticket and you were given the ticket back without that void ticket bit not scored through. I would have assumed that when the ticket was put through their machine to check it it is a winner and it was that in it's self would void the ticket.

You can only win it once, so the machine will know that those numbers have been claimed.

I buy my tickets online, and they email you if you win - I wouldn't remember to check otherwise.
