I am booked with easyjet on an Airbus 320 tomorrow and was
impressed by the speed of their decision to ensure that if the pilot
has to leave the cockpit, another crew member will replace them.
This means that at no time will there be only two people in the
cockpit.

I'm not a good flier and will be relieved to land safely.

Sorry that should read ' only one person in the cockpit'.
Good I expect all airlines to respond very quickly, in fact I'm absolutely stunned that Europe didn't have this in place already. I mean anyone can drop dead without warning never mind any malicious plans.
Common sense really. I'm glad they have eased your nerves, Graudian.

Yes which is why I'm surprised we don't all do it up until now.

That's good, hopefully you will not get a like-minded Pilot/Co-Pilot and Steward/Stewardess on the same Crew!
You know that ryanAir (yeah, ryanAir!) flyBe and Jet2 already did this, don't you...? EasyJet are late to this party, not early.
Nervous, were you ? Imagine how nervous I was having to take a very long flight a few days after a spate of hijackings. I was first on board, and as the other passengers came on board, I was sure I had picked out the terrorist. I was horrified when he sat next to me. . . Then it turned out he was an RC priest ! he read his bible and drank Irish whiskey all the way.
That's good to know, graudian. My first thought with this crash was that the co-pilot had been taken ill (before we knew more). I wonder who the other crew member will be - presumably someone who can actually fly the craft....

And the third person will be trained to do what exactly?

the third person would be able to prevent the door being locked from the inside

Pardon, wonky?

I don't understand what you were saying about two people needing to pee.

If you had sneezed, I would have said "bless you".
