Is there a website where you can search for holiday destinations based only on departure airport and date of departure? I want to book a holiday for next month and don't mind where I go.

Thanks.

I think all the holiday websites allow you to specify departure airport. You can also go to the airport website of your choice, certainly the regional ones offer holidays.
eg

Thanks Prudie. I have found that a lot of the sites allow you to specify the departure airport but then also ask you to enter a destination. So you have to try every destination to find out if the flight goes on the chosen date.
Eg the link you sent me doesn't let me search unless I chose a destination airport. It's very frustrating!
If you scroll down the page there's a 'need some inspiration' button where you only have to put a day of the week and month and it comes up with destination suggestions.
Your best bet might be to go and sit in a travel agent and let them do the work.

Think you could be right Prudie!
If you put in the name of the airport you want to fly from on google, then go to destinations it will usually give you the names of everywhere they fly to and the airlines and companies that fly to those places. You can then decide who to go with and go to their site to book up.
If you go to Ryanair....choose your airport, only the destinations they fly to from that airport will show.

Try lowcostholidays.com. same as Ryanair, put in your departure airport and only the destinations from that airport appear.

I'm on holiday at the moment. people we've spoke to are gobsmacked at how cheap we got our holiday. They've paid at least double what we have.
that always makes the holiday go better, ummmm!
And I'm really peed off because I was mucking about this morning re-booking the Thomson flights I booked in January and today they are a £100 less!
It's a bit of a lottery where price is concerned.

Thanks for your replies. I think I have found something suitable now.

However my problem was that I would put in the airport of choice and yes it would show all the destinations but I then had to go though each one of them to find out if the flight left on the date that I wanted. Not very convenient.
I used skyscanner which helped.

lol Jordyboy9 - Ryanair doesn't fly from my chosen airport. And even if I went to the next nearest, it doesn't fly to Crete on the dates I need to go!!
We've just come back from Crete - a wonderful holiday, we'll go back again another year! Whereabouts are you going, jordy?

Yeah holiday has been great, Jordy. Weather has been good besides one day but that did brighten up in the end.
