Does Hammamet Village & Le Saphir Hotel Still Exist
I remember going on holiday with Airtours back in 1997 to the above twinned hotels. They were joined and you could use either hotel facilities. I can't find it on the map of Hammamet. I can only find details of it mentioned in Holidays Uncovered. There is a hotel named very similar but it has little or no details of it, or many pictures.

That is not the same hotel Zacs. The one I went to you had to cross the road and then go down a footpath approx 600m to get to the beach where there was a bar on the sand, The Le Saphir had a free form pool, whilst the Hammamet Village had a rectangular one, not sure if it had a kiddies pool by the side.

"We have stayed at the Le Saphir 3 times, and its been fabulous everytime!
When we stayed there it was the Le Saphir in one half and the Hammamet Village in the other.
We stayed in the Le Saphir Hotel, but could use all facilities of both hotels.
Very nice, clean rooms. Basic, but have everything that you need.
Two great big pools, one in the Le Saphir grounds and the other in Hammamet Village grounds.
These hotels have now amalgimated to one resort called the Thasalla Hammamet Village.
