New President In Argentina

Argentina has a new conservative president ending the long rule of the Pertoni party.
He has pledged to improve the economy and tackle corruption.
Do you think he will concentrate on that and taking back the Falkland Islands will be put on the back burner?

Why do some people insist on this " I can't do links" nonsense ? Its been explained often enough on AB and its hardly rocket science is it ? Its a simple cut and paste exercise.
Gromit...we had the nuclear option available to us in 1982 but it didn't seem to stop Argentina invading the Falklands did it ? I don't suppose General Galtieri gave it a second thought !
And it wasn't a nuclear bomb that won the Islands back, or even the threat of using our nuclear option. It was sending a ruddy great convoy and lots of military hardware and boots on the ground that did it surely ?
My gut reaction is that Argentina accept that the Falklands issue is a dead duck, at least for the time being. They have plenty of other problems to sort out before mounting another invasion.

they could have been beaten with half the force...the argies were mainly conscripts who didnt want to be there, low moral, poorly traine, equipped etc etc etc
this new bloke will only bring up the falklands when he starts sliding down the polls and they want him out, which wont be long knowing the argies...and for the most part they wont want to know, the only people who will maybe fall for it this time are the same as last time the poorer, lower classes....

The issue of the Malvinas is one that will always be raised in Argentina if the economy is doing badly and the government needs a distraction.

Nice bit of sarcasm that seems, like a Polaris missile, to have come out of the depths and over everyone's heads :-)
