Restuarants Near New Theatre Oxford
hi i am going there soon, and am looking for a place to eat first, preferably short walking distance from NT, I used to live in Ox and remember there were loads in that road, but have no idea if any are still there. Or if there are any pre-theatre type places

I walked down George St tonight, so I could get back to you. Within three minutes walk, on the same road as the theatre, are 2 Italian restaurants - Ask and Bella Italia, Jamie's, two pubs with food, two hamburger joints, a cafe and a Thai restaurant. Further along you'll find at least one Pizza restaurant. If you go as far as Jericho there will be Loch Fyne,...

Oxford is heaving with eating places. Near that theatre is Zizzi's, which used to do a very fine fish stew. That was a while ago, but I have had a couple of good meals there since. I can't recommend the Four Candles, same street, since I waited there for nearly an hour, the food still hadn't come, so I just left.

Further along you'll find at least one Pizza restaurant. If you go as far as Jericho there will be Loch Fyne, Jericho cafe, heaps more pubs, Freud, Branca and more. Then there's Little Clarendon Street with Cafe Rouge, Carluccio's, etc. Scores of eating places because Oxford has many thousands of students.
nearest park to new theatre is Gloucester Green....3 mins walk (normal pace)

if you are on a blue badge, bednobs, how about giving the theatre a call...they may have a slot at the back.....shame a sister of my godson is no longer there as I would ask her....she's in NZ now.

The Park and ride buses from the Peartree and Water Eaton stop just opposite Debenhams, which is the beginning of George St. Two minutes walk from the theatre. Other parking is available nearby, in St Giles for instance, but is shockingly expensive, even in the evening. You may be lucky if you have a disabled badge, but you would still have to walk further than if you get off a P&R bus
Sorry, I have never used the Redbridge buses. Only the Northern P&R. It used to be that the P&R buses went from one terminus, through the City and out to another P&R. Now, However, they turn round at the city centre and come back on themselves. There is a website for these routes - hope you can find it.
By the way, I was walking past the end of george St
