Don't blame the Muslims after all! The figures prove it - or do they?

//of the 59 suspects pinpointed so far, just four are from war-torn countries (Syria and Iraq)// A case of selective journalism perhaps? Maybe the rest were from other places. North Africa for example.

Interesting article. I was wondering how the prosecution attempts were going. It seems stalled at present.
I'm a little confused over the remarks of the Cologne prosecutor Ulrich Bremer...has this been verified elsewhere?
Also - does anyone know whether the man who molested Esmeralda Labye was arrested and charged? I mean, evidence-wise, it's a bit of a slam dunk.

> On Friday, the Cologne prosecutor Ulrich Bremer in fact told me that, of the 59 suspects pinpointed so far, just four are from war-torn countries (Syria and Iraq), only 14 are in custody, and nobody has yet been charged.
There were 327 complaints received and some women claimed the police were turning a blind eye.
It seems to me that very little progress has been made. If Bremer's figures are correct then there is much more investigation to do though CCTV footage doesn't seem to have shed much light on it.

"The confusion appears to have arisen because certain news outlets and campaigners were working on the basis that only people from Iraq and Syria count as refugees... Today Mr Bremer [the man originally interviewed] said that 73 suspects have been identified so far in relation to the Cologne attacks, with most of them coming from North Africa. "
Well, I guess Naomi had it spot-on earlier in this thread.
