No way am I going to 'upgrade' ( or should that read downgrade) to Windows 10, and, having had a message this morning that my W 7 has little over 15 hrs to change over, I am now very anxious to see the arrival of tomorrow and be free of being pressurised into something I Do Not Want.

hi Hans cant find fault with windows 10 i've used windows 7 and 8.1 i like this the best tho
G'afternoon Bernie.......I am sincerely pleased that you are very happy with W 10. Perhaps I have done the wrong thing by turning down Microsoft's free offer and am now left wondering which one of us is likely to be remorseful about our choice in matters.

It is the case that I go along (perhaps too often) with the old adage...'If it aint broke, don't fix it'. In fact, whilst I have W 7 in a Laptop, I am posting at present on my trusty old HP Desktop PC which (you are at liberty to laugh) is loaded with Windows Vista Home Basics.

Perhaps our Ed should be asked to do a Poll to see how how many ABers opted for W 10 and the number who refrained.

Meanwhile I have posted to the Ed ;-

Main support for Vista ended in April 2012; extended support will end in April 2017.

Hi hc...Your link makes one wonder how reliable are Microsoft's Fact Sheets.

My info was taken from the following :-

Hans.☺☺☺
It's a mystery, oh it's a mystery :D
As mysterious as why Microsoft has given away for free a twelvemonths download of W 10. I am still thinking that there is a catch somewhere.

Hans.
There is no catch, hans.

I am surprised that you use any Microsoft products as you are so distrustful of the company. Other operating systems are available, some entirely free
