Don't fancy the M6/M5 nightmare? You might do worse than try this. Take the A49 and follow signs for Whitchurch, Shrewsbury, Leominster and Hereford. Then take the A466 and stop for a break at Tintern Station. Carry on the A466 to Chepstow, across the Severn Bridge then onto the M5 at Bristol. A nice run, stop when YOU want to, not when the motorway stops you. It might add a little bit of time to a NORMAL journey, but you'll avoid most of the motorway hold ups. Just a thought.
