I am finding myself feeling low more than usual, sista over today - seems low - altho won't show it.
Friend visited on Thursday - she is low too - I visited another friend on Tuesday - she is low - neighbour seems to be low and so it goes on and on.
Maybe it is the January blues. But I do want to go into bed tonight and lie all day tomorrow - I've been blue before but this seems to be a different kind of blue.
January is very depressing I think Conne all the Christmas/New Year glitz is over...back to normality and bad weather....hope you feel brighter soon xx
thanks murray - you know I can sorta keep myself UP a little bit - but it annoys me when I see friends and particularly sista - low.
After having parties during Xmas and New year for years and stopped them about 6 years ago - I think we (including sista and friends) have all missed each other - "it was the only time we met" - would you believe it - me.
Jenny It sounds like you and your friends and sister need to get together for a knees up, cheer yourselves up. On the other hand January and February are dismal months and sometimes its best just to give in once in a while and have a duvet day x
we do need a good knees up - and I am not throwing bouquets myself - but I really did give them. Good food, music, drink and company but you know what the thought of one - nah nah. Too low LOL
So normal for me at this time of year conne, its cold, wet, windy very little daylight, no sunshine, we don't want to do anything, except eat comfort food, watch rubbish tv, don't seem interested in anything/one, obviously seeing sista like this makes you sad, but......... The nights will get lighter we will have a bit more stamina, and we will see a bit of sunshine in the sky. Isn't it understandable why some animals hibernate .
Hey cheer up. Before Christmas it was dark here at 4pm. Today I noticed still not quite dark at 4.25pm so every day a bit more daylight and then it will be Spring. The daffs will soon be through and the snowdrops. Look on the bright side of life la la la
Yes A - but sista has lost her only female neighbour - all others are men. I too am losing two good neighbours - even apart from the weather - things are different in the street compared to 25 years ago. When new people move in - it is all so different.
This was always a pretty happy street but now with more and more and more cars - in a tiny cul-de-sac and - one can't get moving - so hard to manouevre - lots of tiny wee things to irritate the *** out of you. When sista saw 7 cars opposite me tonight at neighbours - she refused to get into my car for me to reverse. - Simple things like that.
forgot to say - sista for the very first time said - what with all these cars - I think you should give your car up. Right, says I why should I - give my car up for 7 cars that belong to neighbour.
At this time of the year, hypovitaminosis D (low vitamin D) is normal. However vitamin D is associated with depression and interestingly, over 80% of people with IBS, which is associated with anxiety and depression, have low levels of vitamin D.
Eat more oily fish and take more exercise outdoors. Exercise also releases endorphins which will help.
