A friend of mine told me a story of about an englishman who went to a restaurant in Europe and unbeknowingly paid his bill with forged Euros, the restaurant called the police and he was arrested and told that if he pleaded guilty he would be let off with a fine. The case went to court and he was jailed for 7 months. Are there a lot of forged euros circulating the notes appear to be less secure than Sterling notes.
I heard this story also.
A bloke down the pub told the bloke doing my carpets.
He was given the Euros by an illegal immigrant on benefits who was working as a taxi driver. The police were unable to arrest the illegal immigrant due to his human rights and with the UK leaving the EU soon .....
Each EU country issues its own Euro notes with a slightly different design so there is not just one design to look out for, which must make spotting a fake more difficult.
