Eating In Florence
I am fulfilling a 50-yr.-old ambition to see Florence. (Did A-level Art History). Staying in a villa in August(!) nearby, have worked out trains in and booked a tour of the Uffizi for 2.00 p.m. one day. We will only manage the 1 day as far as I can see.
Would like suggestions for somewhere reasonably-priced to lunch and any ideas of other, cultural ways to fill our day. Bad back means that I have to sit down reasonably often. Thanks in advance, I know that someone will know a back-street restaurant which is brill. . (I have a map and am trying to learn a bit of Italian, it's too like French!)
Staying near Lucca - all ideas welcome, can't see I'll ever get back there. :) x
