An army of unarmed migrants has managed to overrun most of mainland Europe without even trying. The EU's response to an armed invasion would probably be to discuss how they would share the invaders "fairly" amongst all 28 member nations. This would take place over an agreeable dinner, natch, in either Brussels or Strasbourg, depending where they were holed up that particular week.

"Must be true Zacs, I saw a Turkish guy in our Kebab shop earlier. Terrified I was :/"
If you go to some parts of London (particularly North London, and I can direct you quite accurately) you will be lucky to see somebody who is not Turkish.
Yes, "overrun most of mainland Europe" is a trifle dramatic. However, "populated many areas almost exclusively to the extent that you would not think you were in Europe" is perhaps more apposite. Try many parts of the UK, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France and Greece. These are my own observations, not reports from the press.
If the EU was to be properly invaded (as opposed to invaded by stealth by people who are being allowed or even invited to settle) it would take the Euromaniacs so long to decide what to do the continent would be overrun in very short order.

Like all dictators Erdogan is a paranoid nutter, the most dangerous kid on the block. NATO under Obama's watch has stupidly placed nuclear weapons on Turkish soil and now cannot access them. This week he has started the trials of all those brave journalists, military personnel, teachers and intellectuals who tried to remove him and he wants to bring in the death penalty so he can remove them completely.
As I have said many times on here, he doesn't want to join the EU, he wants the EU to join his new mad dream of a Muslim caliphate; to re-enacts the Ottoman Empire with him as the supreme Sultan.
