And the hottest, where and how high?

Montreal for me -34 (both in C and F - where the crossover occurs) and
Kuwait at Minas Abbas where it was 50C (the humidity low)

(One of the worst was Muscat at 42C and very humid, an instant sauna outside)

I thought both scales were identical @ -40.
- 30 something in a train that stopped for 12 hours outside Winnipeg (the station staff said the wind chill made it about -40) Hottest was 52 degs in Doha.
Only -12c plus wind chill at Drumochter Pass a couple of years ago and +42c in Perth WA.
Bolton for both (I'm boring like that) - Coldest, Icicles on the inside - Hottest, melting tar and getting it on my best school socks.
The coldest I've experienced was December in New York, don't know the figure but couldn't go out as it hurt my face. It was once -17 C when I lived in Kent in the 80s but I was tucked up in bed.
Not experienced higher than 37 and that was on hols in Menorca.
-40C for me on the day M&S Calgary got pork pies in and the pub over the way had a delivery of British Beer......the Brits...and Irish...had a telephone tree for these happenings....and were daft enough to go out......

No idea about the hottest.....Arizona somewhere though.....x

you are right, jackdaw....
New York January 2005, closely followed by Reykjavik in May this year.
Hottest was a toss up between Bahamas or Spain (when I lived there).
I'd just answered with my coldest place on the other thread before I saw this one.
New York for me too. In Feb 1996. We couldn't walk down the road without diving into every bar we saw.
Hottest is deffo the Caribbean and Miami. Coldest for me was skiing in Austria.
-70 in my ex wifes underwear drawer!
I detest the cold but recal - 27C when I foolishly joined a group of skiers for a week away. I spent most of the time under a blanket with a host chocolate and a book.

Hottest was somewhere in the UAE, high 40's. Ironically Mr Cake was in the US or Canada and freezing his delicates off.
We did that, Clover. Health and Safety closed the top of the Empire State due to sheet ice, so we went to the nearest bar and got blasted on apple martinis instead.

well done, jo, I approve of that - the bar that is.....

Ratter's is close to the mark, though I am not sure if he is pushing hot air as in CO2 or explosive gas in Propylene.....probably both.....

230th and 5th, NoM?
I have never been anywhere really cold, so it would be in the UK. Hottest would be in Kenya.
Lord knows, DT. I have no sense of direction...

Germany, about -18C, OH took some stuff to the bin, wiped the back of his hand across the bridge of his nose and took the skin off. Hottest probably in Death Valley, around 104F, but because it's so dry it felt pleasant, it's the humidity that makes it uncomfortable.
