I got an e-mail from Easy Jet the other day asking for comments on my flight from Bristol to Porto.
Apart from a two snd a half hour delay while engineers worked on s mechanical problem, and a further hours wait until a replacement aircraft was arranged, i suppose it wasn't bad.
We're a group of four walking this Camino from Porto to Santiago. There's a chap from Bristol, two ladies from the Americas, one from California and the other from Canada, and myself.
We spent the first day in Porto doing tourist things. They began with a breakfast in the Majestic Cafe which is an Art Deco masterpiece. It's said to be rated as one of the top ten cafes in the world and charges accordingly. Breakfast for four came to over €100.
Yesterday we began the first stage of our walk to Matasinhos. It goes through the suburbs of Porto and is an unattractive stage that lots of Pilgrims bypass. The fact that it rained most of the day didn't add to its charms.
Today promises to be much better. We start walking along the beach and the weather looks much more promising.
After breakfast we're going to decide on our target for today and look for accommodation in booking.com
