Flaming hell just had to pay £300 for a ferry to Ireland, always usually book well in advance so it's only a few quid, that's colossal ( and the *** crossing ever to anywhere). I've got to do this twice in the next few weeks or once by ferry and once by air. I genuinely think that's a huge amount of money for a quick crossing.
Aye something like that Spath. I also have last minute flight to the US as well to book at some point once dates are confirmed so I think I'm going to be #poorasachurchmouse
Has ever been thus, Kval......I always thought it was because they had a captive audience with so many Irish going home for a visit......
Used to be the sailing from hell but it's so much better now.....lot of money though!
I've been on some dodgy Holyhead sailings with my Dad when I was little Gness, like something out of a film, we had a rough crossing once as well and all the drunks were being extra sick everywhere it was 'memorable' to say the least.
Pleasantly the air fares are not quite as horrific as I thought they might be, so that's a plus I suppose x
