Back from seeing dad and it’s worse than I first thot.
Firstly let me make it clear it’s not dementia.
He now has palliative carers twice a day for several hours each visit, he has also been given end of life meds?
If that wasn’t bad enough he has now been told that it’s more likely to be 6 months not the initial 9 as thought.
I don’t know how I got through the weekend and somehow made it back to Belfast before breaking down in hubbys car!

This is so sad to read and so hard on you all.
It must have been very difficult but he would have been comforted by your visit.

If you need to cry then do it, you are allowed to be upset when someone that you love very much is dying. I am no good with 'emotional' support but I am thinking about you.

♥♥

So sad for you and your Dad RR. Make sure you vent and cry whenever you want to, you are entitled to a release and it will make being strong for him easier and try to take heart that he'll have taken great comfort in your visit and your calls. I hope things go as well as they can for you all xxx
