My children are off on a camping weekend next week with their aunty and their kids so I am looking for advice on where to get nice warm and comfy waterproof jackets and trousers because I would rather they did not take their school jackets?
It’s not one warm layer you need. You need several layers so that they can be put on and taken off as needed.
So the waterproof layer can just be thin, concentrate on what’s underneath that.
Go Outdoors is a con job, pricewise. I went to buy a hat, and the price on the rack said £11. When I went to the checkout, the price was £15. When I queried it, the girl said that £11 is the price for store card holders. I went back to check, and at the bottom of the ticket, in tiny writing, was what she had said. I bought the hat anyway, as it was the type that I had been looking for but I've never been back. Never thought about going back.
