Different Gary Rhodes Recipe For Christmas
4 Answers
Greetings,
Many years ago, just after coming on the scene, Gary Rhodes did a different Turkey recipe which I’m trying to locate.
In essence, he removed the crown, roasted traditionally.
The brown meat was combined with other ingredients and cooked in a cake tin lined with streaky bacon, this was served warm with the main meal.
Hoping someone knows where I can find the recipe, I’ve been searching for ages!
Thanks in hopeful anticipation.

//At Christmas we want turkey, not sushi. A kind soul must have had a word in Rhodes’s ear, because Gary reined himself in. The compromise he struck was a turkey crown roast. Actually, this is just novelty for novelty’s sake. It is like grabbing the last word in an argument that you have already lost, because a turkey crown roast is basically just a roast turkey with its legs chopped off. Roast potatoes? No, Gary’s were boiled and then sauteed with chestnuts. Stuffing? No, that is where the alternative bacon and sherry raisin pâté comes in. //
