We were supposed to fly on the 11/07 , had a villa booked in Mijas with my daughter, son in law and grandson but Spain was one of the highest in Europe at the time for Covid, we were lucky, we got our deposit back for the villa ,but now because quarantine has been lifted On the 10/07 and Spain is one of those countries, Ryanair will no doubt take to the skies then so we will lose out for only one day :0(

Would you not consider going? You can easily book another villa.

There is nowhere where we’d of liked to have gone but I don’t think my daughter and her family would want to go, especially my grandson, a proper germaphobe haha
There must be hundreds if not thousands of hotel rooms with no bookings Bobbi -I would just go for it rather than lose £1000.

Too short notice now APG, this isn’t a moan, more bad luck :0(
Bobbisox don't be daft -get on the plane, when you get wherever you are going walk into any hotel and I bet you'll get rooms. Once in the Hotel ask around to see if there are any villas for rent in the local area. They will probably bite your hand off.
It is bad luck, we were also meant to fly on 10th (next Friday) but have managed to move it to September with BA. However the bottom line is if you're family are too concerned to go anyway you can't win. I'd go without them myself :-)
'your' of course...

We’re booked to go to Lanzarote on the 23rd September so at least we have something to look forward to , but I’m being cheeky and I won’t book in online till the very last minute hoping RA can’t resell those seats
Get a Lola sitter and just go. Just thinking of the many times in the past when we grabbed free flights and Just went and found accommodation when we arrived. You have four days to prepare. Go and have some fun.

It’s all about money APC , it’s £400 for Lola on top of spends etc, we only booked Lanzarote last week ,now if Boris had only said the 12th , :0)))
I'd take my chances and go, Bobbi, but I can understand your apprehension.

I am going to struggle to get my £503 back from our hotel in Zurich, even though the flight and the concert are cancelled. I was having an automated live chat with hotels.com the other day and it kept repeating that it was a non-refundable room rate.

As I understand it, if they cancel, they are legally obliged to refund our money?
just think of all the money you'll save in the bar :)
sorry bobbi, how did you lose £1000?
her flights. She wont be able to get a refund because she's cancelled the holiday, but the flight will still go
so why can't you fly on the 11th as planned?
if you read bobbi's answers she says.
She's cancelled the villa, and her family no longer want to go. I am not bobbi but I assume she was hoping she'd get a refund as the flight would also not be going, but now it is.
Because they had cancelled the villa due to Covid TTT.

My post today with the link was because she was going to that area and flying to Malaga. Beaches now closed becsuse of Covid spike in Andalusia.
