bobby, several stone ago I did a fair bit of mountain climbing and rock climbing etc and I once visited, as we called it, Betsy!

My Dad has been gone for 37 years so it's obviously somewhere I'd passed or saw a sign for :)
never heard of it (mind you welsh place names are quite tricky!)
Most of our days were spent at the competition (it was on a farm)but the other days were spent in the Snowdonia area, so we didn't explore much of Anglessey
My first youth hosteling holiday with school friends was a circular walking route from hostel to hostel and we stayed at Betsy! I shall now spend the rest of the day thinking about the route and where else we went.

Not sure visiting there would be good, I think it may upset me as I still miss my Dad even now
My Staycation will be where we live in North Norfolk. Perhaps a trip to North York Moors for a few days. Unfortunately for us though the coast is likely to be very busy this year!!! However, the tourists rarely come inland. We have holiday barns just down the road from us Bobbie!

The West country is far too crowded in the Summer. Basically, we stick to to the East these days.

I like the sound of a holiday barn Apc
I would give you a link, but not on here. Ten miles from what has often been called England's most beautiful beach, lovely dog walks. Very rural. Got a swimming pool!

I'll check that out , thank you apc
APC, tell us where so I can google (I am also looking for somewhere dog friendly)
UnfortunatelyI can't say where on here, Bednobs. I live in an area with so few dwellings (5) apart from the barns complex. However, I looked it up today on their website and they are still not taking bookings because of Covid. The are next door but one, but still a quarter of a mile away from us.
I think U.K. is full of beautiful spots - in any county.

The only thing of course is that weather can’t be guarahteed
Ten miles from Holkham.
As you’re wanting dog friendly u might wanna try air bnb - there’s a filter on the site do you can search dog friendly only. Sykes cottages are the same. I think (??) hoseasons holiday parks are all dog friendly too.

Do yourself a favour n do go onto trip advisor etc to see if places are dog friendly or simply dog tolerant.... there’s a big diff ... our boys (2 dogs) go almost everywhere with us and some places positively go all out to make dogs welcome whimsy others are tolerant only at a push
We love wales.... has some of the most beautiful beaches.... but does rain a lot!
The West country is far wetter than the East! And we get more sunshine!
We’ve not long moved to the West Country (Somerset) and love it.... yes it is wet though.

We have always loved wales n will retire to wales one day
We only go to dog friendly places Eve, and we find that they are the friendliest places to go for humans too. Our dog (or dogs in the past) are our family and are never left behind on holidays. I doubt we will go anywhere this year, but at least we live in a really lovely area.
Yup “our boys” are our family too. Bring us such joy!!
