I'm visiting my sister in Texas over the christmas period and she wants me to bring some things she has been missing, such as oxo cubes, worcester sauce, etc. I was wondering if I would be allowed to bring them with me, thanks in advance

As far as I remember, no meat products and no dairy products. When I visited my friend in Kentucky in January I took tea bags, maltesers, haribo, parma violets, battenburg cake, hot chocolate, mints etc. I declared them all on the customs form and though immigration had a little chuckle they let me through!
I went to Florida in May this year and when we were getting ready to land the flight crew came around and we had to dispose of any food we were carrying. My sister also had to dispose of her food. We were allowed to bring in baby milk.

I think if the food is in packages you should be alright.
Tan30, that was probably to cover sandwiches, fruit etc, as you are not allowed to take in meat or anything with seeds.
