I x wired a restaurant with a friend before the lockdown. The meal was awful. I put a preview on TripAdvisor to the effect. It has been there ever since. We visited the restaurant last week and I put on a review to say it was very good and they had hoped their game since our last visit. Even giving a thumbs up to the chef and waitress by name. Today both of these reviews have disappeared. Why ? I have used TripAdvisor for many years and this has never happened before.

Have you checked the spam folder for your email account? If TripAdvisor sent you a verification email, and you failed to respond to it, that might explain the missing reviews.

Hi Chris. The first review had been on there some time. The other one I put on this last week. Both of them showed up. I noticed a message saying I wasn't receiving emails. I was still using an expired email address.I have changed it.
