The nearest car park is the surface pay & display one on Glendower Street: https://ibb.co/y0rPTMT It's free from 6pm to 8am. At other times it costs £1.50 for 2 hours, £1.90 for 3 hours or £2.40 for 4 hours (which is the maximum stay during chargeable hours). If you happen to be there on a Sunday though, it's free for 2 hours or £1.00 all day. Payment is accepted by...

Worked there a few times. Don't remember any traffic/parking problems. Or paying for parking.
Sorry I can't be more specific.
Used to get a lovely pint in the Robin Hood.

Pay-and-display car parks are available close to the hotel for both long- and short-term stays, as well as free on-street parking between 5pm and 9am and all day on Sunday. For more details, please contact the hotel directly.//

Have you got a blue badge? The Kings Head does have parking for staff so perhaps they could squidge you in if you convince them you need to park nearby.

It's free from 6pm to 8am. At other times it costs £1.50 for 2 hours, £1.90 for 3 hours or £2.40 for 4 hours (which is the maximum stay during chargeable hours). If you happen to be there on a Sunday though, it's free for 2 hours or £1.00 all day. Payment is accepted by cash or card. (Monmouthshire Council don't seem to have signed up to any app-based parking scheme yet).

Some car parks (e.g. those in Whitstable) allow you to 'carry over' parking fees to the next day. e.g. if you pay for 2 hour's parking just half an hour before the day's chargeable period ends, you get the first hour and a half on the following day thrown in. Similarly, if you pay for 2 hours parking at midnight (when parking is free), the system will automatically give you the first two hours of chargeable parking in the morning. Such systems are great when you're staying overnight in the area, as you don't have to dash out of your hotel at breakfast-time to pay for parking until you want to use your car. I've no idea about whether or not Monmouthshire County Council car parks use such a system but you might be able to find out by calling 01633 644644.

And it’s an overnight car park we will need.
Tintern Abbey? I think it's out that way.
Some great villages in Forest of Dean. Carey has an amazing pub called The Cottage of Content.
Abergavenny, Ross on Wye, Tintern Abbey, there are a few castles near by if that's your thing
Ross-on-Wye is nearby:
https://visitrossonwye.com/
and you're right next to the Forest of Dean, which has loads of lovely other towns and villages:

Tell Caran to put her kettle on ;-)
Abergavenny. The beautiful waterpark or wildfowl park I built for you right in the centre of town.
I think Big Pit is reachable. Steam train and museum if you don't feel up to going down the mine.
Parking no problem in Monmouth
Ross-on-Wye
Abergavenny
Cinderford
Lydney
for a start.
Where will you be travelling from, smurf?
i don't know monmouth, but interested in finding out more about the park spicerack built for you :)
Build anything me, bednobs. Built a skateboard park near Abergavenny. Where do you live? Probably knocked something up near you.
Could have gone to Monmouth School but for one thing.
